Hey There Kim Jong-Il!

These photos are form a couple weekends ago.  I went up to the mountains outside Seoul with my family, and there is a hilltop/overlook called Aegibong with a great view of N Korea.  I was told that this is one of the closest viewpoints outside of actually driving up to the DMZ area.

Here's the view from the overlook

And here's the view from my binoculars:

In this labeled photograph for tourists, you can see (if you can read Korean) that the village is called the "commercial village", basically stating that this village is just for show. The N Koreans allegedly built out areas such as this, where they know people can see into their territory, in order to front like things are all good.

Oh, and just in case anyone is interested, I took a picture of the poster that describes the significance behind the name Aegibong.  I feel as though these tragic tales of longing are a seemingly characteristic thing for the Korean people.  It's the melodrama.  I think Koreans dig it.
